Plot and Psyche

Storytelling, psychology, and the emotional truths hidden between the lines.

Plot and Psyche is where I lean into the part of me that can’t help but look a little deeper. The stories I love rarely stay on the surface, and honestly, neither do I.

This is the space where I reflect on the emotional layers of dramas, films, and characters — the trauma, healing, attachment, grief, identity, resilience, and quiet turning points that make a story feel real. Sometimes it’s about a character’s coping patterns. Sometimes it’s about a relationship dynamic that feels painfully familiar. And sometimes it’s about why one scene lingers long after the credits roll.

As a therapist, I naturally watch with a psychological lens. But this space isn’t about overanalyzing the fun out of storytelling. It’s about noticing the humanity in it — the ways stories help us process, understand, and feel a little less alone.

So if you’ve ever found yourself wondering why a fictional character felt so familiar, why a storyline hit a nerve, or why certain stories feel like they understand something tender in you, you’re in the right place.

Character arcs, emotional patterns, and stories that stay with us.
